  • Market stalls will be set up in Jacka Park, from 9am to 1pm –this is open to anyone wishing to have a stall —  call the visitors centre on 5494 1257 for information
  • Hamish & Andy and crew along with the 50 Horses and their trainers will meet at the Wedderburn hotel before the procession (lounge room will only be open to these guests prior to the procession) the bar will be open to all other patrons
  • Street procession will commence at 12.30pm travel along the Calder Highway to Chapel Street and proceed to Donaldson Park and enter the ground from the Main Gate
  • Hamish & Andy to lead the parade with the Mayor Gavan Holt travelling on an old tractor
  • Two piece band to play leading the procession
  • The 50 “Horses” and their trainers included in the procession
  • Proposed detour for Calder Highway during the procession
  • Police will be in attendance
  • The gates to Donaldson Park will be open to the public once the procession has entered the arena
  • A picnic atmosphere with people bringing their own chairs, rugs and esky and sitting on the football ground – No Glass to be bought in
  • Security will be checking all eskies brought in to the ground
  • Food outlets will operate from a section on the football ground – type of outlets have not been finalised as yet, this is being done by the catering committee organised at the Community Meeting
  • Lions club will operate a BBQ
  • RSL BBQ Jacka Park
  • Bars will operate at the ground run by the Trotting Club and Football Club
  • Hamish & Andy will be walking around the crowd to see if there is any celebrity look alikes to join them in the “Celebrity Marquee”
  • Hamish  & Andy will do their radio show from the ground from 4pm to 6pm
  • Race to commence at 5pm
  • One man horse suits will run 1 lap of the trotting track
  • Two man horse suits will run ½ lap of the trotting track
  • Jessica Mauboy to sing the National Anthem
  • Birds of Tokyo band will be playing
